Oh, the New Year, with it’s call to get back on track with all of those many things that you aspire to achieve, and somehow still don’t. This year I am taking a new approach to New Years Resolutions. I am going to simply DO BETTER at those things that I already DO! I often divide my time and energy so many different ways, that I fail to finish all I set out to complete. Not so this year! I think I’d like to finish all of my unfinished projects and solidify all of my flimsy habits before trying to add anything else to life!
So, this year I am not going to begin any new hobbies or loose any extra weight. I am going to CONTINUE running in the early morning hours. When the air is still silent and the sun just barely peeks out from behind the winter fog.
I am also going to read the Book of Mormon and floss daily, rather than every few;)
To help out with these last two, I searched and searched and found a fantastic *free* iphone app that lets me check off the days as they pass. It’s called Way of Life.
Basically, you choose the items that you would like to chart (up to three in the free version) and then you can check yes or no for their completion each day!
The app stores the info to compare weeks, months or even years!
Last night I began. After completing my Book of Mormon study, I got to check off Sunday in green. Then I decided to add flossing on there, too…got up out of bed, flossed and hopped back into bed, excited to check that off the list, too. This is a perfect tool for the box checkers like me out there!
So, here’s to a 2011 of being the best ME I can be.
