I’m Miranda, the maker mama behind Live Free Creative Company.
My goal is to share inspiration and ideas for a creative, adventurous, and intentional lifestyle.
I share DIY projects, peeks into our family lifestyle, and home decor and design as we renovate a 1948 Cape Cod in Richmond, VA.
My podcast, Live Free Creative, releases a weekly show on various topics relating to choosing less, organization, forming relationships, and feeling free to live the life you really want to live. Subscribe HERE.
I also connect with people offline in regular craft and sewing workshops, because I believe in cultivating community and confidence through making.
I have always been a crafter and experimenter. I’ve played with all sorts of art mediums and have realized what I really love is sticking to more minimal, natural materials to create beautiful and useful projects. I also live a life of practical minimalism, and our family spent all of 2017 not shopping. Read more about it here.
The experience shaped our family culture, and more and more we find ourselves choosing LESS STUFF AND MORE ADVENTURE in our life.
After growing up in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, I met and married Dave, and we lived in Utah, New Hampshire, Washington DC, and Austin, TX before settling down once again in Richmond, Virginia. We love the four distinct seasons, bustling food scene, proximity to mountains and the ocean, and having space to hike and play with our three wonderful children and the family dog.
I hope you’ll find inspiration as you follow along with the projects and stories I share of balancing life and motherhood, pursuing creative passions, and seeking meaningful experiences in my everyday life.
