Yeah, you thought Red, White and Blue were the colors of the day, huh? Well, think again!
In my attempt to do something festive with our Fourth of July (on which we’ll inevitably be watching fireworks on YouTube at 7 pm before tucking Milo in, and feeding Eliot for the umpteenth time:) I came up with the brilliant plan to make red, white and blue striped popsicles in our Zoku. Simple, quick, fun and delicious.
I thought real strawberries and blueberries would be better than just using food coloring in lemonade, so I blended them all up and got to business. I thought the strawberries looked a little more pink than red, and the blueberries a little more purple than blue… at least the stripes looked good (I didn’t even bother a photo of the flag I attempted:)
Well, this guy doesn’t know the difference, and wouldn’t care anyway! And however un-patriotic the colors, they were delicious!
