Project Baby Finale: 42 Weeks
August 15, 2011
We actually made it.
Little Eliot and I completed the journey we began in September of last year. Crazy that it almost take a full year to come full circle. Emilytook these last photos when Eliot was 2 weeks old and I was barely getting out of the house. He already has grown so much from then. I love him so much more out of my body than in!

I wondered how I would feel fitting another child into my heart, and it’s been eye opening to see how I can adore them both, not at each other’s expense.
Now, eight weeks out, my loooonnnnnggg pregnancy feels like a fluttering memory (though I’m not totally brainwashed into thinking it was butterflies and roses, like I was with Milo:) and I am really really looking forward to feeling healthy and energetic enough to spend some time enjoying my boys. And running. Oh, how I missed running.

It’s a little bit crazy to look back on the whole series of Project Baby photos and journal entries, and remember each of those stages. It might have jerked a few tears from these eyes yesterday. I definitely like this last stage the most:)

p.s. cutting up my Calendar Shirt into little tiny pieces to make Eliot’s romper for this photo shoot was incredibly therapeutic. I didn’t want to put that thing on myself even one more time!
