Truckaroo and TruckerBOO!
October 13, 2011
I’m borrowing a computer for a minute during nap time and taking advantage to share something really cool: TRUCKEROO.
Imagine the DC area’s finest food trucks, all in one parking lot at the same time. It was fantastic. Dave and I went sans children on a date a week or two ago, and I was surprised how many kids were there with their parents! Next time we will for sure bring the boys. Maybe. At least I know we can if we need to;)
The lines are long, so we decided to eat in courses. First, some Wonky Fries from Eat Wonky. Fries with cheese curd and gravy doesn’t sound good, but it is. Really good.
We enjoyed out fries while waiting in line for Halal Grill. Dave got a mixed gyro and it did not dissapoint. As I snuck bites, I couldn’t help but say “Mmm, that is so good! Mmm, soo good!”
While we enjoyed the gyro, we waited in line for the BBQ Bus and ordered a pulled pork sandy with a side of delicious roasted corn. I sort of was in the mood for Takorean, but  that line was off the charts and I was hungry (despite the fries and gyro…weird.)
I am excited to wait in that line for Korean tacos at the next event on October 28th: TruckerBOO! All the fun of the regular Truckeroo, but with costume contests (cash prizes!) and a trick-or-treat for the kids! You bettcha. We’ll be there! That’s some motivation to get my kids’ costumes figured out:)
