Okay, so we’re moving to Concord, New Hampshire which is 60 minutes north of this beautiful city of BOSTON, but we were so busy in NH that I forgot to document with photographs:( We did, however, create a 10-minute video tour of the town, in which we literally see the WHOLE town!! If you’re interested, give me a call and we can have a movie moment!!In the first 4 days of our trip we toured Franklin Pierce Law Center, where Dave will begin his studies in August, looked for a place to live, and met a ton of current law families. They were all wonderful and we’re excited to move out and make some great friends. Our friends the Schroyers hosted us in Concord, and were amazing. Thank you Shannon and Brian!! It was a busy week…and we were enchanted with tiny little Concord. All of the houses are picturesque and beautiful. We blinked and missed the 2-blocks of “main street”, so we turned around and drove it with our eyes open! It’s charming!
We enjoyed a fabulous Easter weekend with the Allreds. Cassi and I have been good friends since our days at Churchill Jr. High, and it was so fun to be able to spend some catch up time with her and her hubby Jordan. They showed us the town!
Easter Sunday Cassi spent 4 hours on a fabulous dinner. We decided to stay at the table for at least as long as it took to prepare (to avoid that inevitable disappointment when you cook for hours and eat for minutes!) The meal was delicious and relaxing and we talked, reminisced, played games and laughed until around midnight! A successful, social meal. The sweetheart even made my absolute favorite Patty Clements Poppyseed Cake for dessert. Thanks Cass!
We rode the T around the town. I was glad to have my hand-sani close. Seriously!
I loved these old copper-corner buildings. I suggested to Dave that we move in here and he make the one hour commute to school. He thought that was very funny.
Everything in New England is historic and beautiful and elegant. We pretended to be Harvard students, wandering the campus and reading poetry in the bookstore. I am smarter after breathing that Harvard air!
All in all a great, crazy, busy, delicious, memorable week. It will be the adventure of a lifetime! Thank you Allreds for all your hospitality! Love you guys!
