We made it!! Milo wore his reindeer pj’s all day on the plane-I had a whole darling outfit tucked in the diaper bag to change him into after his nap…except I forgot pants. All of the grandparents were excited to see him anyhow.
We went straight from the airport to enjoy some delish comida mexicana at Red Iguana. Seriously, if you haven’t tried the mole, you haven’t lived.
I’ve decided I’m going to get through the awkward stage with curls. In this photo it’s especially ringletty, which isn’t my favorite, but so far it’s a good solution for the night shower, because my hair is dry in the morning and after a quick run in with the flat iron I at least look like I tried.
Papa and Mamo watched Mr. Milo while Dave and I joined Mike and Melanie at the MoTab/Natalie Cole/ David McCullah Christmas Concert. It was fun, and weird to go out without him. Little did I know that he would cry the whole time we were gone (and he is not a crier…) because he didn’t recognize them. Just one of the snags of living away. The little one must be reacquainted with family every 6 months! By the time we got home he had recovered somewhat and was playing peacefully, but I felt so bad! I think we’ll ease him in a little bit next time.
The concert was fantastic. Dave and I have been lucky enough to attend every year that we have been married, and I a few years before. The Christmas tree growing out of the stage may have been a touch too much, but I appreciate the effort to dramatize the production.
It feels like Christmas even more after a wander through the lights at Temple Square on the way back to the car. It’s funny how little Salt Lake seems to us after just four months in Washington. We love it here and are looking forward to the Holidays!
