At 13 months Milo David is 21 pounds and 8 ounces of pure delight.
He is 31 inches tall, except for when he reaches into drawers and onto shelves way above his head (often bringing a little something or other down with him!) Then, he is much taller!
He eats everything with his 6 teeth, including sometimes his fingers, which causes the occasional gag.
Though he can easily drink from a sippy cup and a straw, he prefers to use a real cup, which he may do either with close supervision and a bib or independently at the last meal of the day, as a bath is usually required soon after.
“Duck” is his favorite word, used to describe not only his rubber ducky and vintage duck statue, but also cows, birds, and occasionally mom.
Daddy, however, is always “dada” and bananas are always “nana.”
Milk, cheese, fluffanutta and pretzels are also “nana” as Milo is smart and likes to keep things simple.
His binky is only a memory, though the little red moisture rash remains (we’re working on that!)
At 13 months Milo naps at 9 am and 1 pm, occasionally veto-ing the afternoon nap in order to spend some more treasured time with “duck,” or mom.
He adores kids and is magnetized to infant car seats, whether or not an actual baby is nestled inside.
Toys are of little interest to Milo, who would much rather read a book, or play patty-cake, peek-a-boo, or eensy-weensy spider. Toys are also left behind so Milo can explore the vast world available to a newly toddling toddler.
…after that he is ready to venture off in new directions. Though this particular one we will help him hold off on for about 24 more years and a bride:)
