Okay, last San Francisco post (until I go back…) It would not have been half the fun without the ladies. My THIRTY year old sister, Chelsea, two blonde younger sisters, Emmy and Mattie, my Mom, Aunt Suzy and Mamo. What a trip (in all senses of the word!)
The five Brubaker girls together again…dangerous. (p.s. how cute is that striped duffle?)
No one can make me laugh like my sisters…and mom. In fact, we usually have at least one ridiculous, hysterical episode of tear-inducing laughter per outing together…the type no one really gets, but we all love. This one may or may not have been triggered by the eldest sister being caught on the iphone video camera doing her “stupid-human” trick of stretching her nostrils into what we lovingly call “the vacuum.”
Meeting up with Kristine, a lucky good friend who now LIVES in the Bay Area (insert *slightly jealous sigh)
Remember those head massagers I mentioned? Yeah…pretty much the coolest invention ever. Buy one, get one 50% off at LaLine on Pier 39.
“Look at that lady who just finished four bread bowls and a lobster roll!!” And then we all giggle uncontrollably as my mom dumps out our trash:) Like I said, ridiculous!
Pedal boating on Stow Lake. A leisurely weekend activity. (note: I’m donning another of the my three vintage hats from the Alameda Flea Market)
Maybe my favorite shot of the trip. Mattie is almost a teen!! Luckily, she snaps out of it pretty quick and is back to being infectiously enthusiastic. Love that girl.
Oops! Another cause for a giggle fit. While dividing her embroidery thread for craft night into two, Chelsea accidentally cut off all circulation to her fingertips and required assistance…which I provided as soon as I finished snapping a photo!
More treasures, and the only shot of a finished craft night scarf…you can just see the little pom pom balls above the wrap at the neck if you look closely. (They turned out really cute and I’ll probably host a craft night with some friends in DC to make another, what with autumn approaching and all…)
On our way to the airport. A goodbye to the Golden Gate Bridge and our Thirty in the City adventure.
Until 2013 when the next sister hits 30. Which reminds me, I need to get a working on my list…
