We’re a Scrabble family, so when it came to designing Valentine’s this year, I was all about the words. The names of our family fit together quite nicely, eh? And the “two thousand ELEVEN” was just icing.
I sent the design off to Boxcar to have a polymer plate made, and then printed them in Aunt Missy’s basement on her little press. All went swimmingly until the press broke.
Yep, one of the arms snapped right in half! It was the result of too much pressure being placed on one side of the machine. We knew it was off balance, but this showed us just how much! Luckily, Dave’s sister’s wedding invites had been finished the week prior because that could have been bad!) And secondly lucky, I was mostly finished with the printing.
On the back of the cards we Happy Taped a recent favorite photo by my dear old friend Cassi of Sassa Art Photography. Dave and I have just asked Milo “How strong are you?” and he’s answering with arms in the air and a huge growl!
I got’m in the mail just in time to arrive for the big Heart Day. A little bit of love (to make up for my total lack of greetings during the holiday season aka my first trimester:), sealed with a kiss.
Hope you all have a wonderfully lovely day!
