I am thoroughly fascinated by the combination of cultures found on the State Fairgrounds this week. Booths included the Living Scriptures, giant buttons, funnel cake, Mormon handicraft, henna tattoos, BBQ’s shaped like farm animals, and, of course, a whole bunch of live farm animals. We could see why the fair was the fat rat’s favorite hang out in Charlotte’s Web…there is so much food for sale!!

We felt like such city folk asking the owner of this HUGE MAMA COW all about her.
“Are those big lines on her belly veins…like full of blood?”
“No, they’re full of milk.”

Lot’s of fun…maybe next year we’ll enter some cookies or a pig or something. See if we can get our hands on a blue ribbon.
