Confession of a Water Waster
September 21, 2008

I am trying to do my part to save the planet, but I have a weakness. It is a warm bath. For the last two years I lived in a little basement apartment without a bathtub. When my husband and I moved a few months ago, finding a place with a tub was a priority. I don’t know why, but there are moments when my discomfort {cold, illness, distress, pain} will only be eased by a good soak. Our current apartment has a tub…a fabulous, shiny, new tub. I have good intentions of using the water to sprinkle on the plants or wash the car but there is a problem. The fabulous tub has a slow leak, and instead of maintaining the water running to keep it full (which would make this a REAL confession!) I fill up the tub and enjoy the steamy, bubbly water just until the last of it goes down the drain. So, though I do my part in saving, I also do my part in using. As we all do, I suspect.
