So, there you have it! Dave and I are having a baby! We sent out these awesome tri-fold announcements to our families this week, and had some great responses. We heard there was even an audible “WHAT?…oh…WHAT?!!” in one household!
As far as pregnancy goes-I’m pretty textbook:
-sick from the time I get up (which is 5 am because I teach early morning seminary!) until the time I go to bed-around 3-4pm seems to be the worst for some reason?
-hate vegetables in any form (a vast difference for those of you who know me)
-can’t open the door to the garbage can for the stench of rotting trash
-have a hard time grocery shopping because I’m surrounded by disgusting food
-go to bed at 8pm, wake up at 5am, go back to bed at 7am and wake up at 10am…maybe take a nap around 2pm
-eat cheerios with bananas, string cheese, animal crackers, regular crackers, bagels, apples, plain pasta and popsicles
-drink ice with a little bit of water
-frequent the bathroom
-haven’t had a regular BM since July
-routinely get into the “gas position” after dinner to relieve the pain in my belly (this makes Dave laugh so hard!)
-cry
-take a bath or a shower bath almost every day
-don’t take a shower on the other days
-leave dishes in the sink and clothes on the floor (another vast difference)
-crave everything I can’t have here: tomato soup from Porcupine Grille, pizza from Settebello, chicken tamales from Rico’s Tacos, smoked turkey sandwich from Sugarhouse Barbecue Company…I can’t wait for December!!
It’s been a crazy ride. Dave is amazing picking up all of my pregnant slack and he always tells me thank you for being sick for our baby. Supposedly I’m getting close to the end the worst…I am feeling a little better each day. It’s a good thing, too, because I was just offered THE JOB OF MY DREAMS as a Diabetes Educator with the local hospital and I start on Friday. Yay!
Life is exciting!
