It is fun and simple to personalize for gifts!
I made these cards for each of the three darling friends who threw Eliot (and his mama) the most creative shower. Along the top I experimented with using periods as polka dots, intentionally narrowing the spacing towards the center. For the names I was able to hand set the metal type each in different typeface. And I used wood type for the hugs and kisses. I love the natural variation in wood type. It adds a whole different dimension.
Oooh. It still makes me happy to run my fingers over freshly pressed designs. Something about that texture just puts a smile on my face.
All tied up and ready to give away…three weeks post-shower!
(For the sake of Emily Post etiquette, I did take thank you notes to the hostesses at the shower, informing them that these personalized gifts would follow:)
