We had one last, semi-relaxing and very fun day yesterday before Kristine and Jonathan departed. It began with a little sleeping in at home while I taught a morning class at work. I would have been home at noon if I hadn’t left my lights on and needed a jump (which I got, and had to ask the nice man to remove the cables for me and drop my hood since my e brake is having issues and I couldn’t leave it in neutral, or turn it off!!) Once at home we enjoyed a nice lunch, put the boys down for afternoon naps, then snuck in little snoozes ourselves. We were worn out from all the fun! Awake and ready to go, we headed into Old Town Alexandria. What a charming, darling place! I’m there every week, and still love it as much as the first time. Along with browsing some very cute shops, we noticed Alexandria Cupcake, which was fantastic.
We shared Red Velvet and Vanilla with Chocolate Buttercream (which tasted a whole lot like these, if I do say so myself!!)
This cutie needed a little photo love…
…how could I resist a mint green brick background?
Yeah, you’re pretty cute Jonathan…Milo and I miss you;)
Dinner was on Dupont Circle at the DC Cafe. Best Gyro in the city.
Dessert at TangySweet. Flavor of the day? Virgin Piña Colada. It was heavenly. Mmmm. By then the boys were ready for bed. Okay, by then we were all ready for bed. But what a fun visit! So, K and J are safely home and I am back to the wonderfully stuffed-to-overflowing life that I lead.
