You are amazing! I have been following your blog for quite awhile now after “stumbling upon” it on IG. You don’t know me but I think I’ve seen you before years ago. We have quite a few connections—Dave’s parents used to be in our stake, so we know your in-law family. Eric was my son Randy’s friend at Highland. Rachel is my son Max’s friend also. My daughter was a DG when Chelsea was president. And Rob Wood’s parents, Alan and Liz, are our 2nd cousins! Lots of commonalities! (Ha SLC for you!). Anyway, I so admire you and all your talents as I read about everything you do while juggling 2 kids! I grew up sewing and made all my children’s clothes til they were in junior high! I wish my daughter would have followed suit!!! (She never had any interest!) She has told me you are an expert at everything you do and that is apparent. I think it is great how crafty and amazing you are. I do know that Chelsea is also such a creative gal too. Soils like it runs in your family. So….someday maybe I will run into you/meet you! We just finally had our first grandchild–a girl! Soni wdnlive to make your bow dress someday. Can I buy that? Sorry so long and rambling. Sure enjoy your blog!

    Jodi, what a sweet comment!

I love the criss-crossing connections we have, and really love that you were such a seamstress! I’m a lot better about sewing for myself than my kids, but I’m working on it:) I learned to sew pretty young, but didn’t really become interested again really until a few years ago (after I was married…) so there’s still hope for your daughter! It seems like there’s a resurgence of crafting and sewing among my generation, so now’s the time to sick a sewing machine on her, haha.

Congratulations on your granddaughter! I would love if you made her a bow dress. The pattern starts at 6 months, and I especially love it on babies. It’s available for sale in the SHOP, and you get an email immediately after your purchase with a link to download the file. If you make one, send me a photo! I’d love to see!

We’re in Utah at least once a year, so it would be fun to get together. Maybe we should have a craft night and bring all the families together. xoxo
