Could there be anything better than Christmas morning with a child?
Especially one as darling as mine:)
He was ready to rumble Christmas morning. Not as early as Aunt Mattie would have liked (she had friends texting her at 7am to ask what Santa brought! Oh, to be twelve years old again!) We got started about 8:30 am…
9:00 am by the time Mamo and Papa finished their moseying around, pretending to not be sure if Santa came or not…We all wait at the top of the stairs.
The newlyweds included.
Then descend youngest to oldest…meaning Milo went first this year!
He didn’t hesitate! Once he laid eyes on that new shopping cart, he was ready to roll!
The rest of the morning (and every morning, afternoon and evening since!) has been spent chopping up strawberries, lemon, melon, etc. He was a little confused in the beginning about the wooden milk bottles, wanting me to unscrew the cap for him. After teaching him that it’s “pretend milk” he happily pretends to guzzle it down.
In fact, this morning after a family run (with Milo in the jogging stroller) he sat a bottle of milk down in front of each Dave and I at the table. We must have looked thirsty!
Needless to say, Christmas morning was a hit!
