Fabulous Hat Brunch
November 22, 2009

The Spouses and Significant Others of George Washington Law students organization (whew, that’s a mouth-full!) hosted a little brunch today at Carlyle Grande Cafe. I loved mingling with some new friends. The food was spectacular…expensive, but spectacular. If you are going to spend $25 on one meal, good to at least love it!! I enjoyed lump crab cake eggs benedict with steamed asparagus and fried new potatoes. Is your mouth watering? I was excited to take half home to Dave-he loved it too.
I borrowed what was to be deemed “Most Fabulous Hat” from Missy. She inherited it from Diane, who was Dave’s step-grandmother with deep pockets and tons of style. What a fantastic combination-especially in the 50’s, right?

I worked the hat, but let’s discuss my hair. It’s at that really wonderful in-between long and short phase when it hits my shoulders and flips out. My bangs are finally long enough to tuck behind my ears. I’m thinking it’s time to grow it long, but really? Go through this stage for months? I’ve considered perming it-that used to be a good hair solution, right? I like the color. It’s natural for the first time in oh, maybe 14 years. I don’t have tons of time to work on it and I am showering at night, so it’s dry in the morning…hard situation. Any suggestions?
