We’ve had a short-sleep, long-day, cuddle-up, lay-low, hang-on weekend with the virulent coxsackievirus sweeping through Milo’s tiny person. The fever cooled off on Saturday, but then he broke out into a rash that covers the palms of his hands and feet, up his legs and all over his darling little bottom. The tiny red bumps don’t seem to bother him too much, except for where they have begun to turn into blisters. He walked on tip toe on and off all day yesterday, poor thing.
We’ve adopted him a uniform of Huggies Jean Diapers. Partly so I can keep a layer of cream on his blistered bum. But mostly because they are really cute and he’s happy when mostly naked.
So, we’ve been reading books, playing catch, picking up tupperware that has been strewn throughout the house, trying to watch movies (he’s not that into tv, yet,) taking occasional walks and visits to the park, avoiding contact with other kids and surfaces while at the park, digging in the dirt of my potted hydrangea, and basically walking around in circles…literally…like five loops through the kitchen, living and dining rooms…following a little wooden puppy.
I hear when the rash is gone, the virus is too. Hopefully we make it until then!
I’ve got a fun repurpose for you coming tomorrow. And, get excited for fashion shoot numero dos:)
