After blogging for 10 years, I’ve had the itch to share information in a different way. Video seems like a perfect fit to combine my love of teaching and sharing creative ideas, advice, and adventures with the dynamic, exciting format. So, I started a YouTube Channel!
Live Free Miranda, the channel, will be a place for me to share creative, adventurous motherhood. I see it overlapping a lot with the types of projects that I have always shared here on my blog, with the added fun of me actually being able to talk and teach and share from my own mouth.
I learned years ago that I loved to teach. When I graduated from nursing school, I worked in patient education as a Diabetes Educator rather than taking a more traditional role in a hospital. I have taught live workshops for the last five years, taught classes at church, and spoken at conferences. Explaining, engaging, sharing, and inviting people to learn something new, try something different, or feel inspired to progress are some of my favorite things.
Whenever I finish a class or workshop I feel on top of the world. I love it! So, being able to reach even more people with YouTube as an online workshop, class, or teaching moment feels really fun and exciting.
My plan is to post a video each Wednesday.
Topics I plan to cover include:
DIY crafts, sewing, and recipes
MOTHERHOOD tips, tricks, and advice
ADVENTURES and travel guides
HOME design and decor
MINIMALISM and inspiration for living simply
My first two videos are live, and I’m working on the next one, which will be an introduction to our tiny house in Richmond, with a little tour and some ideas for how we plan to make it work.
Enjoy these first videos and be sure to click through to SUBSCRIBE and be my YouTube friend, and click on the little bell to be notified when my new video is live each week!
