It was a nice day today. I thought I’d take Milo on a walk since he vetoed his afternoon nap and there is a storm in the forecast for the weekend a HUGE deal here if you’re not familiar…like, I already was called off of my first day of work tomorrow and not a single flake has yet fallen!! We called a few friends, all unable to join. I dropped by the library to return a book, then for some reason, instead of turning into the park where I had planned to walk, I kept on driving. Only after a few minutes of aimless turning did it hit me that we should take our walk at our friendly neighborhood Ikea. I know, not outside, not taking advantage of the dry sidewalks, but lots to look at!! Of course, Milo decided to take his nap on the way there, so I sat in the parking lot and chatted with my good friend Cassi of Sassa Art Photography (who, has a brilliant new BLOG by the way, that the Milo and I made an appearance on yesterday!! Check the post out HERE.) Anyway, after we hung-up and he woke-up we began our adventure. I sort of want to take up residence in one or another of the showrooms at Ikea. They’re super cozy. The Mister tried a few things out for us…
Yeah. They really suck me in with the fantastic lighting, rows and rows of filled bookshelves, perfectly set dining tables and everything-in-it’s place design. If only homes really looked like that even when real people live there! They got Milo with The Cat in The Hat on the screen. Okay, and how cute is that high chair? I love it. Of course, I got THIS one instead because #1 It’s cheaper and #2 It has a tray but, next time, I’m getting THIS one! After about two…maybe two and a half hours we finally said goodbye and took our leave…with a few more things that we planned on, as usual. Thank you Ikea, for being our home away from home and our friend away from friends;)
