About six months ago, I decided to take some first steps towards a new blog design and layout. I had a bunch of ideas floating around, but no skills to turn them into computer code. Turns out graphic design and computer programing aren’t at all like sewing. I called my sister-in-law’s sister-in-law Caitlin, from the awesome blog Hue & Hum, whose art I much admire (and even own), and asked her to create the design elements. Remember how cool my stickers turned out? All her. She has been awesome to work with. We went back and forth with ideas, mock up designs, colors and layouts and finally settled in on just what I hoped for.

She was all ready to pass the design on to be turned into a blogger theme, then I decided that there are some functions I wanted on my blog that aren’t easily available on blogger. So I am bidding blogger adieu and relocating onto WordPress. I hope that these new features will make my blog easier and more fun to visit, browse, and use as a reference for creative ideas and recipes.

Since I have zero experience with WordPress, I knew I would need some foolproof coding. I got in touch with my old friend Miriam of the fantastic blog Mad Mim, whose husband Allan dabbles in programing. He turned out to be willing to work on the site for me, and has done an excellent job of both creating the blog as I want, and making it as easy to use as possible for me.

So, it’s time. Tomorrow I’ll begin posting at onelittleminuteblog.com. I really hope all of you will come follow along. (If Allan’s redirect works well, you won’t have a choice and will simply show up there!)
