Although the New Hampshire autumn is in full swing-which means frosty mornings- I have had an odd appreciation for a childhood favorite: cheerios, cold milk and sliced bananas. My cheerios are actually “toasty o’s” of the Hannaford variety, which I find just as pleasing to the palate as the original. I have also recently switched to 2% rather than skim milk, which doesn’t get quite as pleasingly cold as skim, but does have a great body of flavor. Oh, the simple pleasures of a good breakfast. I guess for protein and balance I should add a small handful of walnuts more often than I do, but I enjoy every carbohydrate-filled bite regardless.
