Saturday was a beautiful day for a picnic. We’ve been relishing these rare days of total break that Dave has sandwiched between a very intense third semester of law school, and a very busy and exciting summer associate position at a firm. We packed up, headed off down the Parkway, and ended up at River Farm…one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. I can’t wait to go back!
We laid out our spread in the shade of a hundred old trees, on a bed of grass and clover, beside the gently flowing Potomac. We love a nice open format picnic of baguette, different cheeses, spreads, fruits, veggies, shrimp…though after a few minutes of Milo grabbing everything in sight, I learned we may be sticking to sandwiches, chips and cookies for a while!
Oh the fleeting moments of lazy afternoons. I wanted to freeze time for a little while and absorb every peaceful, lovely feeling that accompanied the day.
He loved this stick (and every other stick he finds) just as much as the chocolate. That goes right in his mouth as well;)
Loving life.
We’re off to Boston to enjoy another few lazy days. The computers are staying home, so I’ll catch up on Friday. Have a fun week!
