Yesterday was one of those days that comes along when life has you fooled into believing that everything is just perfect. I really was surprised, these last few weeks, how wonderfully things seemed to be moving along. I felt suspiciously worry free.
Then came yesterday to remind me that I life is indeed imperfect, however wonderful. Luckily, Dave had the day off to celebrate Columbus, and so I had some support through the stress of feeling overwhelmed… and then the computer deciding again to bite the dust (conveniently in the middle of my printing a pile of shipping labels and updating my order file, which was not saved)… and then the car not starting right as we both had appointments to rush to. You know? It was one of THOSE days.
It will all be okay- I’ll send the Mac in for repair this afternoon, a new battery has solved the car trouble, and just plugging away at my to-do list will keep my stress manageable. Well, that and some nice long early morning runs.
The good of the bad?
Not having a computer this week will help me focus on finishing my pile of sewing orders (blogging and pinterest are decidedly less fun on an iPhone;)
We have an external hard drive that automatically backs up our files, so my zillion photos and files are not lost forever. Insert huge sigh of relief.
While shopping for a car battery we stopped at Costco and the whole family ate dinner for $5. Gotta love Costco.
Having a new car battery means it should be a while before we need to buy one again. Right?
Those early morning runs are not only reducing my stress, but also helped me zip up my first pair of pre-pregnancy jeans over the weekend (hip hip hooray!)
I have adorable children. That’s always good:)
Our anniversary celebration was fantastic, and I can’t wait to share the details. Probably next week once my computer is back in action.
Hope your day is great. And if not, I hope there is something good about it.
