Meghan’s Project Baby
December 19, 2011

Hi there guys! How was your weekend? Ours was fantastic, minus the beginning of a bout with the flu that I feel may be coming on. It’s taken over my head and stomach, and I fear the rest of me is not far behind. In fact, I’ve felt so weirdly sick that I took a pregnancy test this morning. Not pregnant. (There was only about a 1 in 1000  chance, but WHEW!) The nausea has transplanted my mind back to when I was about 7-17 weeks pregnant. One of the only fun things about that time was crossing weeks off of my Project Baby tee and knowing that at the end of the road, there would be an angel in my arms. Looking back, the time really flew, and I’m so glad I captured little pieces of it.

It was super exciting last week to receive an email back from Meghan, who had ordered one of the new Project Baby Tees. She sent along some images from her first photo shoot. They are incredible! Her father Jim is a professional photographer and they were able to make it a family affair in the studio. How fun, right? (all images by him.)

I love this look she’s giving her sweet husband as he crosses off those blessed weeks. This is there first child. There’s a bit of anticipation and wonder in those eyes, don’t you think? I remember that nervous excitement. Like the up part of the roller coaster when you’re thinking “Well, I’m strapped in now, so I guess all I can do is hang on for the ride (ignore the terrorized screaming:) and hope it’s as fun as everyone says it is!” p.s. Meghan: it is.

Oyster crackers have been her best friend through her morning sick weeks. I’m so glad she captured that. So easily we forget. (Mine were plain cheerios with Milo, and sourdough toast with Eliot. Yuck. Okay, I still like sourdough toast.)

12 down, 28 to go. You can do it girl! Hang on and enjoy the ride!

Fun and fun. If you’re still on the hunt for the perfect Christmas gift for that pregnant (or hoping to someday be pregnant) friend, sister, cousin, or yourself, order a Project Baby Tee before TOMORROW AT MIDNIGHT (Tuesday, 12/20/2011, 1200 hrs), and enjoy FREE SHIPPING with guaranteed delivery by Christmas! Whoopee!

And Happy Monday!
