Yep. Down to a single-digit count down. It’s insane how fast the weeks pass when you get semi-comfortable 40 pounds heavier and 13 inches wider than typical. I haven’t seen my toes for months, without leaning so far forward that I might tip (as seen on the far right above!)
Clothing? Forget about putting on anything without a 90% stretch factor. Eating? You betcha, but less and with more TUMS on the side. Sleeping? During all of what used to be my “free time” aka Milo’s Nap, and very little at night. Figures. Exercising? Just began to walk a bit in the mornings with a good friend. It feel so good to move, but more than a couple miles and I’m shot. I am excited to begin training for the Freedom’s Run half again, once I recover from delivery. Feeling? Great, happy, huge, healthy, unmotivated, excited, nervous, snuggly, peaceful, tired, hopeful, and addicted to the Lindt 85% Dark Chocolate bar that I splurged on for myself and keep eating in tiny bits throughout each day.
And Eliot? He’s all elbows and knees these days.
And Milo? He just learned to say his own name…which is adorable. He skips the L and just calls himself “Mi-o”. He took a chocolate chip cookie dough bath last night. I kept telling him that if he didn’t eat that dough ball, it would disintegrate in the water…somehow he didn’t understand, and it disintegrated…all but the nuts and coconut flakes. And Dave taught him to say “Hi Honey” to me, which melts my heart.
And Dave? Two papers down, one to go. Two finals to go. Five days until we begin celebrating the end of Law School. And he’s decided that he wants to learn how to bake great bread…which is one hobby I won’t ever object to.
