A quick comment on comments
January 19, 2011

Hi there! Just a little bit of housekeeping, for my sake more than yours, I’m sure.
You’ve noticed that at the bottom of each post there is an option to leave comments. Of course you have, a lot of you have used it! And thank you for that. I love love hearing your thoughts about what I’m up to. I also love the advice I get on occasion, and the questions that some of my projects bring up. Feedback is really quite energizing, isn’t it?
Anyway, thus far, I’ve used a variety of methods to reply to those comments. Sometimes by email (if I happen to have it!) sometimes by clicking over to your blog and leaving a comment on an unrelated post (which can be a little funny transition: “Oh, looks like a great recipe…and btw, you need four yards of fabric for that one project you asked about on my blog…”;) Every so often, I try to reply to a comment and hit a wall because your profile is private and your blog as well…and then I feel bad that I can’t reply.
Well, duh. I can reply! Right here in the very same comment thread! So, that’s what I’m going to do. Just wanted to give you a head’s up so that if you ask a question, or are interested in what else may be said about that particular post, you are sure to click the “email follow up comments to…” button when you post your comment. That way you’re sure that my reply gets right to you.
Sound good? Yeah, I thought so too. So anyway. Thanks again for commenting when you do. It really does make my day.
(Possibly the only painting I’ve ever done, based on a photo I took of my Nalgene while on a mission in Argentina. I gave it to a good friend for Christmas several years ago.)

Oh, and as a post script I have to say that I don’t feel weird about people reading this blog…I mean, that’s part of the fun of writing it! So, you’re never a “blog stalker” …unless of course you really are stalking us, in which case that is weird.
Everyone feel free to comment away, if you’d like. And I’ll get right back to ya!
