We’re still alive! The trip has been great.
On the way to Seattle we stayed in Portland with my awesome little brother Taylor. He took us to eat at Montage-a delicious southern spot serving dinner until 4am. Appropriate since we rolled into town about 10pm. He is the best. It was really fun to see him.
The next stop was Seattle, where Amy, Scott and Susanna showed us around Pike’s place market. The fresh salmon was a hit. We went canoing and ended up under these overpasses. Odd sensation connecting with nature in such an urban setting.
Susanna is a sparkle. It took her a few tries to remember Dave’s name- he ending up being “DE” which is adorable. We loved getting to know her a little better.
We saw the Salmon heading upstream at the locks, and Dave showed us all how to skip rocks on Puget Sound…it’s a talent of his that he’s been hiding since I’ve known him. Thank you Taylor, Scott, Amy and Susanna for your generosity and hospitality. We loved the NW swing on our road trip back east.
