Rugby Travels
February 15, 2008
Snow flies in SLC and the U rugby team must travel South to play their first spring matches. We have spent weekends in Las Vegas, St George and most recently Sunny San Diego!
I flew to San Diego with Caitlin, another “Rugby Wife” and we met up with “RW” Megan and her twin sister Kristen who lives just blocks from Pacific Beach. The four of us spent some quality time together before the boys flew in…Acai bowls on the boardwalk in the morning…

A little run with Kristen’s puppy, Mozzarella… We also hit up the outlet mall that is minutes from the border.

I celebrated my 25th birthday in Petco Park watching the USA Sevens World Series. It was fun to see teams from all over the world compete. When I met Dave he was playing on the USA Sevens team so we felt even more connected to the tournament.
For dinner we went to a cool little place called Sea Level. It is an outdoor restaurant overlooking the San Diego Bay. Amazing skyline…
This little booth was right next to the water and we sat here chatting as we waited for a table. Cute TJ and Alex suggested the restaurant and Caitlin and Jeff (taking this photo) and Dave and I had a smashing time.
The U Rugby team had a good weekend, beating Nebraska and loosing their first match of the year to Navy, who is a top tier team. The practice is good for them, and each time they play they get a little better.

I love being a Traveling Rugby Wife. Next week we’re on to San Francisco!
