What better way to celebrate your Holiday weekend than with a fun giveaway?
Have you heard of Scout by Bungalow? I hadn’t until a couple weeks ago, even though the company is headquartered here in DC. When I did become acquainted, however, I was impressed by the bold colors, fun patterns, and huge selection of tote bags, storage bins, luggage, and table top accessories. Needless to say, when they reached out an offered a product for review, I was thrilled. After careful consideration of the many cool options (I was this close to trying out this daytripper tote) I settled on the Lock It Pocket Rocket, in True Brit.
I had been over my old diaper bag for a while now, and this tote seemed a perfect replacement. It’s roomy inside (check it out: change of clothes, diapers, wipes, wallet, and day planner with room left at the top!), has SIX outside pockets (two sippys, snacks, water bottle, sunglasses, phone), a zip closure on top, shoulder and hand straps…and– it has stroller buckles! I have a Maclaren Double umbrella stroller, and the handles are too wide to slip a shoulder strap over, so this was a major selling point. Since my Lock It Pocket Rocket arrived last week, I’ve buckled it to the stroller several times, and it is awesome. I can turn the sippy/snack side towards the back of the stroller, and have an automatic console for the boys.
The material is water resistant and wipeable, which makes it excellent for a diaper bag. The Scout website lists it as a “Durable Polywoven Fabric” but that isn’t very descriptive. The closest thing I can think of to describe it is the heavyweight woven shopping bags from IKEA. This feels sort of like a double-thick, coated type of that material. I was a little surprised when I felt it for the first time, because it seemed really stiff and plastic-y. But, the material has softened up even in the last week of use, and now I’m completely comfortable and satisfied with it’s quality and durability.
I love the blue stripe, and the neon straps of the True Brit pattern. I’ve already received compliments about my bag several different times! I also really love the two different handle heights. It’s been so nice to be able to grip it in my hand, and also wear it over my shoulder. (I also created a cross-body strap for this bag, and will share the DIY this week!) I’m loving my new bag, and am excited for one of you lucky folks to choose one, too.
Scout has generously offered to give a Pocket Rocket bag away to one One Little Minute reader! You can choose the Lock It style with the stroller buckles, or the regular Pocket Rocket without them. Both bags have several bright, happy patterns to choose from, so check out the Scout website, decide which you want, and enter! Good luck!
