Friday night we headed up Millcreek for a campfire like the good old days. Dave and I had been biking up the canyon earlier and we remembered what a beautiful place it is, and all of the memories that we each have there. Kate and Eric were excited to join us and we all sat by the fire, sharing our secrets for the perfect S’more, until the Sheriff came and booted us out a little before midnight. My burley baby with his beard still in full force from the trip. He had a TRIPLE trouble stick! The more, the merrier with mallows.
We love these this adventuresome couple. They are friends and family all wrapped into one!
We all agreed that the chocolate is best a little melty. Kate even stuck a piece inside of a mallow before roasting! Pretty technical. Yeah, and this is my double-trouble stick after I had perfected one of the two. I’m pretty much a brown by the coals until each side is a little bubbly sort of girl. Then I peal off the outer crust, place on melty chocolate, and toast the inner mallow to perfection before adding it onto the outer crust. Once I’ve got the top graham in place, I squeeze- letting a little mallow and chocolate squish out the sides. Yum!
