It is SPRING! Despite the weird circumstances we find ourselves in with COVID-19 and global social isolation, my internal vibe-meter is telling me it is time for a Spring Fling 2020. #springfling2020
What is the Spring Fling 2020
Spring Fling 2020 is a super simple and fun decluttering challenge. You commit to getting rid of 100 items during the month of April. These can be clothing, shoes, craft supplies, toys, decor, furniture, or any other type of household items you no longer love, use, or find useful.
There is no weekly breakdown or specific type of decluttering that I am asking you to do. Simply choose 100 items you no longer need and put them in a box or bag for donation. (Because of the pandemic, it is unlikely you’ll be able to actually donate the ideas for a couple months, but identifying and boxing them up is the first step so when restrictions are lifted you’re ready to head to a donation center!
Create Space For What Matters Most Printable Checklist
In preparing for the Spring Fling 2020, I recognized it would be really fun to have a visual way to check off as you collect and put aside your 100 items.
I reached out to my friend and incredible artist and hand letterer Lisa Funk of Hand Lettered Design. She created this amazing printable pdf that you can use to keep track of the items as you box them away.
Each flower petal or center represents one item, so as you go throughout the month flinging, you will see the blossoms bloom.
I choose one of my favorite phrases for the printable, “Create Space For What Matters Most.” This is on of my own mottos, and an incredible reminder of the purpose behind the Spring Fling, to have space in your home and life for what matters.
How to participate:
To officially join the #springfling2020, sign up through the form on this post.
This gets you your free printable download, and onto the list for a couple quick tips and pieces of inspiration throughout the month.
I also encourage you to share about your experience on Instagram by posting a picture of your printable, or you pile of donations, and tagging me @livefreemiranda as well as using the hashtag #springfling2020.
I’ll be randomly picking winners each week from the pool of participants to email gift cards or send goodies in the mail.
My hope is that as we focus on some decluttering, and getting rid of things that no longer serve us, we’ll feel a little more in control. We also will feel the incredible peace and energy that comes from releasing what no longer serves us and creating space for things that matter more.
I hope you’ll join the Spring Fling 2020 community and can’t wait to see how it goes for you!
