How’s your Halloween candy consumption going? Do you throw it all away after a week? Let your kids trade it for a toy? Or something different all together?
We’ve just been eating it…slow and steady. Somehow, we’ve adopted the horrible habit of bribing Milo with a “treat” for finishing the last few bites of his dinner. I actually don’t stress too much about his eating. He seems to eat a lot when he’s hungry and not when he’s not. I know toddlers are supposed to regulate themselves, if offered healthy choices, and so I don’t usually force the issue. But for some reason, with a bowl of candy in the cupboard, “Two more bites and you can chose a treat!” keeps coming out of my mouth. It probably doesn’t hurt him, the extra bites or the candy. He seems to be a SweetTart lover, which is great for two reasons: it leaves the chocolate for Dave and me, and it keeps the chocolate off of his hands, face, and subsequently everything in his vicinity until I rescue the house with a wipe. He sure gets messy. Lucky for him, he’s adorable messy.
Also adorable, his new diapers that arrived a couple weeks ago (and saved me.) I’ve got a detailed review planned for next week, so you’ll get the full dish.
And, I’ve been training for the Richmond Half-Marathon, and it is Saturday, which means carb loading begins today. You better believe I’m taking advantage of that.
One more thing, only two more days to enter the giveaway and share it with your friends! Thanks to everyone who’s already entered:)
Happy Thursday.
