The troops have begun to gather. We’ve had my parent’s company over this last weekend (they leave today), Dave’s older sister and crew arrived late last night, his younger brother’s wife and son landed this morning, we’ve got three more coming tomorrow night and the final four headed in on Wednesday night. Twelve adults and five young ones all together. It will be a party, as it should.Last night, in preparation, I whipped up a batch of both our FAVORITE COOKIES EVER (seriously, if you haven’t made these, add them to your post-feast dessert fest. Make’m big and take them out just barely underdone…mmm) and some wonderful pumpkin muffins (+chocolate chips, cause that’s how we roll).

Nothing like starting the week with the deliciousness piled high!
