Tagged? Really?
November 20, 2009

Thanks for the Tag, Kate. I remember being “tagged” way back when, too. It used to happen a lot more in the blogging world. In fact, I looked it up. Oct 25th, 2007. Interested? Check it out HERE. Hard to believe I’ve really been doing this (blogging) for over two years. I’ve got to figure out a way to print this off sometime, it’s the best journal in my life right now. It’d be a shame to lose it somehow.

So, a few new things about me:
>I want to sing on Broadway. Or American Idol. Or a community theatre. Or lullabies to my baby. But really just broadway.
>My fridge is no longer organized, and I’ve finally learned how to fill it up.
>I wish all of my pajamas were matching. I also want a nightgown that is modest, white, and has eyelets like the pioneer dresses.
>I have good ideas a lot. Sometimes I make them happen, sometimes I write about them, often I store them away for that elusive and non-existent day when I will have more time and more money. I am most happy when I make them happen.
>Though Dave and I both agreed that we don’t really want or need anything for Christmas this year, I think I would like a cast iron dutch oven (on the fence between Le Creucet and Staub), an Epson Artisan 710 printer with ink, a Britax Marathon car seat for Milo, and some new clothes. But those are actually just the things that I need to buy and Christmas would be a good excuse to spend the money or have someone else buy them for me. But, I hate that mentality, so I like not wanting or needing anything.
>I have flossed every day for the last 3-4 weeks since the dentist told me that I have a small cavity that will disappear with regular flossing. Amazing what the motivation to avoid a filling will do!
Now, I’ll get Dave in on the action:
>He likes almost everything, but when it comes to love? Pretty much just the family and tortilla chips and salsa.
>He is a fantastic athlete but surprisingly not a sports fanatic. No daily game updates, sports center recaps or yahoo fantasy championships. He loves to watch and play them, but it is not one of his priorities. Nice, huh?
>Can and will open a bottle on his arm, or the edge of a table (and hasn’t ever drank alcohol). It is an impressive party trick learned in his years on Greek Row as the…ah hem… Beta Theta Pi President.
>He has great ideas, too. One of the latest ideas is a foundation. Details to come when we figure them out. One of the long running ideas is a restaurant. We add to the hypothetical menu regularly.
>Is a very busy law student, but somehow makes time every day for dinner with me. He also has not missed a bedtime-including bath, changing, feeding, stories and song.
And, how ’bout some Milo:
>Gargles better than either Dave or me.
>Forgot how to roll from front to back last week. He’s back on it today.
>Almost never cries, but is regularly fussy for about 45 seconds between the time we dry him off and when we zip up his pj’s and get him some milk. It’s like clockwork, and hilarious!
If you want to play, consider yourself tagged:)
