I missed the Provident Living Committee meeting while I was in TX…so I was assigned to make the posters for the upcoming activity. You see what I was going for? A swipe at the Williams-Sonoma Grande Cuisine logo? Pretty cute, huh.
At this point I thought I was almost done, and as it was Saturday night (posters needed Sunday) I was ready for bed…until I looked again at the email with the activity information. “TASTING MENU??!” I was sure MENU TASTING sounded right, but alas, I was wrong.
So, I peeled each letter off of the boards (2). This doesn’t seem like a big deal, but gluing individual letters in a straight line, then peeling them off, tearing the gold board underneath just to glue them all down again was just classic. I offered to trade Dave his homework for the letter removal duty-he refused:)
So, about an hour later than expected I finished. They turned out well. Hope the activity is more fun than the poster making!!
Okay. Seriously? Any mom of a boy who can resist the holiday train bow tie at Janie & Jack is a stronger woman than I. Milo is taking after his daddy in the good looks department!!
The weather here is beautiful. Sunday we took advantage of the nearby George Washington Parkway trail along the Potomac River. The sun was out, air a little crisp, and water glimmering. I love autumn and I am loving Virginia!! (For an extra treat you can zoom in and see that we caught Milo giving us two thumbs up)
