Did you all survive your candy coma? We have eaten our fill, especially Milo.
Last night Dave and I recalled some funny Halloween memories:
-How my dad helped us kids divide up our spoils and then taxed us by collecting all of the Snickers bars.
-The year Dave got appendicitis and his parents thought it was just too much candy…for hours. They felt really bad when they finally took him to the hospital and discovered his ailment!
-In 6th grade when I thought I was so clever being a “Smarty Pants” by safety pinning hundreds of Smarties to my pants.
-Dave renting a spartan costume with a breastplate, leather skirt and all (I told him that was his year to be the male equivalent of the typical “get away with wearing almost nothing because it is Halloween” that is so unfortunate.)
-The dentist’s we both know who handed out toothbrushes instead of candy.
It is a fun holiday and this year we had a great time celebrating. Milo was a very excited trick-or-treater. He got the hang of the system very quickly and would confidently knock, say “trick-or-treat”, choose his candy, say “Thank you, Happy Halloween!” (with some prompting) then turn to me and say “Next one!”
It’s a good thing he collected a good pile, because I’ll need it in the morning! The boys and I are catching a (too) early flight to California to spend the rest of the week with Cassi and crew. I need the vacation from myself and my own projects! I’ve scheduled a few posts for you. Some little things I’ve meant to share when I got a chance.
I’ll still be connected, tweeting, and responding to comments on the blog, so feel free to stay involved.
Catch you on the flip side!
