Emily and Max are great friends. We loved hanging out in a real house with real family…and a dog! Matthew was around, too, although he may have been playing Rock Band during my photo ops!
Saturday we did Thanksgiving dinner. It was the first time that I’ve participated so fully in the preparation of a Thanksgiving meal, and it was fun! We had all the trimmings…Missy showed some real Oven-Savvy!
Here’s Missy and Jay in the kitchen… Jay carved the turkey, which Missy had rubbed with brown sugar and spices. It was awesome! The meal was complete with toasts and words of gratitude from all present. We loved our East Coast Thanksgiving! Thank you so much Livingstons! The trip home on Sunday was better than the first, but equally as long. ..We left the Livingston’s home at about 7:30am.Dave kept our place in line holding all my bags as I frequented the ladies room…doesn’t this look fun??
Once our bus driver from D.C. found the station in NY, and we made it through this HUGE LINE OF PEEPS HEADING FROM NYC TO BOSTON (yes, all of those people you see are in line…)on Sunday evening, it was just another 8 hours on the bus before we hit South Station. About 12:30am we were able to climb into our bed and catch some shut eye before the new week began. 16 hours out, 17 hours home…no biggie! Worth the fun trip. However, I’m already saving for next year’s Turkey Weekend Flight!
