I’m lounging.
Milo and I had a busy morning baking cranberry scones, taking Dave to school for a final, walking with friends, taking the computer to be repaired (got to love that AppleCare warranty!), meeting my co-workers for lunch, having some shoes resoled…well, technically reINsoled I guess, picking out one last Easter basket item, and then home for nap.
He’s snoozing soundly. I’m lounging on the couch with my shoes off and feet up. There is sun shining through the window. The AC is blasting at a comfortable pace. My toenails need repainting, but I can’t reach them. The dishwasher and washing machines should both probably be running, but they are silent. The pile of clean whites has a pile of clean darks on top of it next to me on the cushions, and they need to be folded… but aren’t being touched. There is a pile of striped seersucker, sailor blue silk, and beige linen waiting to be hemmed into curtains, and it still sits.
Its kind of nice to practice the art of doing nothing.
