Visitors!!
April 14, 2010
Living in a place that is appealing to visit is awesome. One of my good friends Kristine and her 5.5 month old Jonathan are here for the week, and we are so excited! The rainy morning didn’t keep us down-no, we headed out bright and early (okay, about 11 am-but we’ve both got kids…) to cruise the National Mall. Through drippy windows I pointed out the Pentagon, Arlington Cemetery, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Capitol, then each individual Smithsonian Museum as we drove past. As we passed the Air and Space Museum, we noticed an open parking spot, which is unheard of in the afternoon around the Mall, so we snagged it and spent an hour learning about planes and spaceships. We left both feeling like there is a lot that we don’t know.

After the museum, we dashed back through the rain to the car. After lunch at Potbelly’s, we headed to Georgetown for, you guessed it, a few cupcakes! Mmm. I can’t get enough of the chocolate with cream cheese frosting. I want to work there to discover the recipe.   Anyway, Kristine was pretty thrilled with the HUGE lululemon athletica store. It was a great place for the boys to be oohed and ahhed while K and I both received welcome compliments about losing the baby weight. A nice touch for the athletic apparel sale.

Milo and Jonathan are best buds already. Milo endeared him with a few good love taps to the head. The younger kids love that;) They are good at sharing and have already shared binkies, sippys, and the bath.
