Have I mentioned that I L-O-V-E Wednesdays? It’s just the perfect break from the beginning of the week and a great jump-start for the weekend. My Wednesdays are getting even better, as Dave only has class in the morning and so we’ve decided to make it a lunch-date day where we can meet up in the National Mall, eat a picnic (i heart picnics), and then tackle part of a Smithsonian Museum.
This week we ate: salami, chévre (i heart chévre), rosemary olive oil bread, ginger gold apples and homemade chocolate chip walnut cookies.
This week we saw: Floor 2 of the Museum of American History, and Julia Child’s Kitchen (which is on Floor 1!!)
It was so weird, her kitchen looked sort of…normal, just with TONS of STUFF EVERYWHERE!!
It was definitely made for the cook. Tools at the end of every reach, all out on counters, hung on walls, and stuck to magnet strips.
Very cool.
What a fun thing to visit…between Wednesday at the museum and Thursday at the movie, I’ve developed a new found love for Julia.
I also loved this poster. I want to order one. I also want to learn to can. And I want an apron like that.
The Star Spangled Banner -the actual flag-was also cool:)
