The box for the Trader Joe’s Gingerbread House was darling. I fell in love with the little vintage characters, so I decided to cut them out and add them to my Christmas decor. With some bent paperclips taped on the back (like I saw here) they stand up perfectly.Cute, simple and free. That’s my kind of decorating! I love them on the windowsill in my kitchen. I would love it even more if there was snow outside the window…
Aren’t they adorable?! What else can you think of that would be cute standing up with the simple paperclip method?
p.s. Only thirteen days until Christmas! Are you starting the twelve days of Christmas for anyone tomorrow? We did it a few years ago for Dave’s parents and had a blast! We accidentally gave the gifts starting at twelve and counting down to one, rather than the other way around, but our real Christmas gift was for day one: “Our Heritage in a Family Tree” that we made for them.
p.s.s. If you wanted to follow along and do the same gifts we did “Ten Years A’leaping” would work again this year because 2012 is leap year again!
