Apartment update: The heating is being done, interior painting is complete, new windows have arrived but are not yet installed, kitchen appliances have been delivered and are not yet installed-mainly because the kitchen cabinets and flooring is not yet in. Current estimate of interior completion is July 12th.

So, in the meantime, we’re making living with our friends the Schroyers. We’re also making new friends and discovering the greatness of our new home! York Beach, Maine is about an hour drive from Concord. It is a long stretch of soft, dark sand lined with darling New England ramblers.
We journeyed up with the Fish family. Eric will be a 2L in the fall, so we’ll have a couple years to hang out. We also brought one of the Schroyers daughters to play in the sand.These are the darling Fish girls…

…and a cute, buried Schroyer.Our sand castle was pretty sweet. The girls all collected shells and pretty rocks from the beach to adorn it. When they all found special ones that they wanted to take home we would have them save them on the castle until we left. The tactic worked and I think not a single handful of shells or rocks made the return trip!
Nothing better than the feeling of sand between your toes!

I think we’re going to like it here!
