Do you save gift bags? I do. And all of the tissue paper inside them:) In fact, don’t actually remember ever buying a gift bag. Sometimes they can use a little sprucing up before being passed on to the next birthday/shower/anniversary person!
Yesterday, before dashing out the door (late) to one of Milo’s favorite little friend’s woodland fairy party, I put some personalized bling on this simple gold gift bag. The birthday girl’s first initial is ‘A’, so I went with that. Simple and sparkly. Perfect for a two-year-old girl!
It was as easy as laying down a thin layer of hot glue in the shape of an ‘A’, and then gently pressing a strand of gold sequins (available at any fabric store in the notions section) onto the glue.
I snipped the ends when I finished, Milo grabbed the gift and we headed out the door to the party. This little renewed gift bag was a hit (and luckily, so was the gift inside!)
