I’m Miranda, the maker mama behind Live Free Creative Company.
My goal is to share inspiration and handmade goods for a creative, adventurous lifestyle. I share weekly stories and DIY tutorials on the blog and unique handmade products in the shop. I also connect with people offline in regular craft and sewing workshops, because I believe in cultivating community and confidence through making.
I have always been a crafter and experimenter. I’ve played with all sorts of art mediums and have realized what I really love is sticking to more minimal, natural materials to create beautiful and useful projects.
In 2017 I’m focusing on one medium a month and sharing DIYs each Friday exploring with that material. January was cotton, February is paper, and we’ll get through glass, copper, linen, and leather before the year ends, just to name a few.
After growing up in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, I met and married my better half, and we lived in Utah, New Hampshire, and Virginia before settling down in Austin, Texas. We love the desert landscapes, warm winters, and space to hike and play with our three wonderful children and the family dog.
I hope you’ll find inspiration as you follow along with the projects and stories I share of balancing life and motherhood, pursuing creative passions, and seeking meaningful experiences in my everyday life.
